We believe in being open about how PetalPoko is funded, because trust is the whole point of what we do. This page explains our advertising and affiliate relationships in plain terms.

The short version

Some links on PetalPoko are affiliate links, and some pages show ads. If you click an affiliate link and buy something, we may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, PetalPoko earns from qualifying purchases. This never affects what we recommend or what we write.

What affiliate links are

An affiliate link is a special link that lets a retailer know you arrived from PetalPoko. If you go on to buy something after clicking one, the retailer may pay us a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same as it would be otherwise. You never pay more for using our links.

We take part in the following programmes:

• Amazon Associates. PetalPoko is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, PetalPoko earns from qualifying purchases.
• Other affiliate partners. From time to time we may link to other retailers or programmes on the same basis. Where we do, the same principles in this disclosure apply.

Advertising

PetalPoko also displays advertising, including ads served through Google AdSense. These ads help keep the Site free to read. Advertising and affiliate income are separate from our editorial work, and advertisers do not get to influence, review, or approve our articles. Our promise on independence

This is the part that matters most to us. Earning a commission never changes our editorial judgement. We choose what to write about and what to recommend based on research and genuine usefulness to you, not on which links pay the most. We aim to explain trade-offs honestly, including cost, durability, and limitations, and we would rather tell you that an item is not worth buying, or that keeping what you already own is the better choice, than push a purchase for the sake of a commission.

If we ever recommend something we have an affiliate relationship with, it is because we believe it genuinely earns the recommendation, not the other way around.

Prices, availability, and product details on retailer websites can change at any time, and we do not control them. Always check the current details on the retailer’s own site before you buy.
